Frequently asked questions

NAILS

Do you reuse tools for multiple people?

No. All of our tools are single-use and disposable or thoroughly sanitized stainless steel.

Do you offer Acrylic services?

At this time, we do not offer acrylic, tips, or any other hard gel or artificial nails. We specialize in natural nails with gel polish and dip polish.

Is Gel harmful to my nails?

No, Gel polish will not damage your nails with proper care. However, consistent and unrelieved wear may cause a drying effect, but this can easily be prevented by using cuticle oil between your manicures.

How long does Gel Polish last?

Gel Polish is a great option because it is cured (dries) instantly and stands up better than Lacquers against chipping and other damage. Gel usually lasts around two weeks, but with proper care can last up to a month.

ESTHETICS

Which facial should I get?

If you are in a crunch for time, choose the Express Facial.
If you are looking for the full spa treatment, you want the Signature. If you have problem skin and need extractions, we recommend the Clarifying. Mature, hyper-pigmented and oily skin benefits most with our Advanced Facial.

What products do you use for your facials?

We use Eminence Organic Skin Care for all of our facials. This amazing company not only provides certified spas with high quality, effective, and organic treatments; they also support the environment and local economies. Learn more about Eminence Organic Skin Care on their website: https://eminenceorganics.com/us/company-overview

Do I need to take my makeup off before?

You do not for facials; we will take care of that for you. For Lash Lifts and Lash Tints, we do ask for the removal of any mascara or eyeliner to be taken care of before the service.

Can I put makeup back on after my facial?

This depends on which facial you request and the customized treatments done within. Usually, applying makeup following the Express and Signature is acceptable. Following treatments in the Advanced and Clarifying, we usually do not recommend wearing makeup, and also remind clients to avoid direct and prolonged sunlight.

How often should I get a facial?

Depending on your skin and your concerns, we usually recommend 4 - 6 weeks. Following your facial, our esthetician will give you a personalized recommendation for scheduling.

Do you all sell products?

Yes! We have extensive options for retail from Eminence Organic Skin Care. Everything from cleansers, moisturizers, and masques to serums, toniques, and oils. Give us a call or come in to see your options, and let us help you make the best choice for your skin.

WAXING

Does waxing hurt?

With our luxury waxes from Berodin that have a lower melting point, irritation and discomfort is drastically reduced. Our highly skilled esthetician will make the process the most comfortable it can be.

How should I prepare for my first wax?

First, ensure the length of the hair is that of a grain of rice. We recommend exfoliating the night before, then taking your preferred anti-inflammatory the morning of. We also have wine you can sip to help you relax before your appointment.

It's that time of the month. Can I still come in for my intimate wax?

We can still perform Bikini, French Bikini, and Brazilian waxes as long as a tampon or similar product is used. If you do not feel comfortable getting the service performed, feel free to give us a call in compliance with the cancellation policy and reschedule.

What should I do after my wax?

Apply the post-wax antiseptic cream Finipil to reduce irritation and prevent infection twice per day for the next three days. After three days, lightly exfoliate the area. Following an intimate wax, refrain from intimacy, soap, and sun exposure for the immediate following 24 hours.

How often should I schedule a wax?

We usually recommend 3 - 4 weeks. It largely depends on your body's specific hair growth cycle. Our waxologist will work with you to decide the best time for your maintenance appointments.

MASSAGE

How much massage time do I really get?

The full amount! We measure our massage length based on actual hands-on time, meaning the clock starts when your massage starts.

Should a massage hurt?

Massages should be relaxing and comfortable experiences. However, if you have muscle tension you would like to be alleviated, it may take gradual increasing pressure to release. Depending on what pressure you like and what work you would like to be done, you may feel tenderness or soreness.

What is a Couples Massage?

A couples massage is two massages performed at the same time in the same room with two massage therapists. You each get your full massage time. It is a great opportunity for sweethearts and friends.

Do enhancements take away from my massage time?

No, it is additional time added onto your massage. Therefore, it is important to schedule your enhancements before your appointment to ensure availability.

What kinds of massages do you offer?

All of our massages are fully customizable. Our massage therapists excel at most if not all pressures and techniques, including Deep Tissue, Theraputic, Swedish, Prenatal, Sports, and more. Most of our massages actually include a variation of all of the treatments - our massage therapists will develop the optimal treatment for you and your concerns.

What are the benefits of Hot Stones? Are they really hot?

Basalt Hot Stones are used to relax muscles, surface blood flow / circulation, and relieve both mental and physical stress. They are not too hot; we heat them to just the right temperature for the most beneficial and comfortable treatment.
